Saturday DB2

The DB2 moving average pace range is 17 to 18.5 mph. DB2 stops as a group for mechanical problems and flat tires. There is at least one rest stop, usually two in the summer. DB2 is a DROP ride. The leaders do their best to maintain group integrity by riding the published speeds and by using re-group points. Distances and speeds will vary depending on wind, road, and traffic conditions. Check the DB2 blog and PBA Facebook page for late-breaking changes due to the weather.

Large Group Procedures

In the event there are more than 30 riders at the start, DB2 will divide into two groups.

Group Riding Etiquette

Please follow all club procedures and etiquette when riding with the group. We all need to take care of each other to ensure a safe and fun ride for everyone. If someone is struggling or drops off the back of the pack, let the ride leader know immediately or call “rider back”. Please take turns at the front of the group and rotate off after a few miles (or minutes as your strength allows). Call out all cracks, seams, and pot holes. Pass information back and forward so everyone gets the message.

Sweepers

On a voluntary basis, the ride leaders will be asking for sweeper assistance. Please be prepared to take a turn now and then.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start to allow time to sign in, introduce yourself to the ride leader, and hear the pre-ride briefing.
