Come Ride With Us!

The weather forecast for Sunday is sunny, low winds, temperatures in the 70s -- feels like fall.

The Adventure Ride is a nice easy recovery ride for some folks, and a reach ride for others. We will divide into groups to accommodate the various skill levels. The official range is 14-17+ average speed. Average speed means that that will be the average at the end of the ride. Which means -- we will often roll at speeds far exceeding the average.

If you go with the 1st group, understand that they will average 17-18 mph. All riders in the first group will be expected to participate in pulling the group. Riders at the front will rotate. If you do not know how to pull or do not feel comfortable pulling, keep the pull very short -- but you are expected to learn this skill.

If you roll with the regular groups -- we divide the groups so that we can safely make it through lights. If the group does not feel like it is "gelling", we will break the groups into smaller groups.

IF YOU ARE NEW TO GROUP RIDING - please go with the last group to roll. This group has riders who are able to spend time and explain the nuances of group riding and how to be a safe group rider.

All levels of the Adventure Ride are about learning how to be a better group rider and be better aware of the group around you. Be predictable, no big movements, follow the directions of the ride leader AND the sweeper, be kind to one another -- if someone is doing something incorrectly -- teach them the proper way. Be the example!!! this is how we all get better and have a fun and safe ride.

Please arrive by 7:45AM for pre-ride announcements and group split instructions.

No Drop

Location: Regular Sunday Adventure location - Legacy and Independence, north of Dunkin’ Donuts.

DOWNLOAD THE ROUTE! We will roll with 3 groups, and we will divide into more groups if needed.

Officially, the Adventure Ride pace is a D+/C ride with an average pace of 14-17 mph.

Group 1 will likely roll at a 17-18 pace -- so if you start with them and cannot hold the group pace, the next group will pick you up.

Group 2-3 will roll to the pace of the slowest rider in the group.

IF YOU ARE NEW TO GROUP RIDING AND/OR ARE MOVING UP FROM THE CAFFEINE CRUISE -- PLEASE ROLL WITH THE LAST GROUP.

PBA Rides are for Members Only and registration is required.

Please go to http://pba.bike and sign up for the ride on the calendar page.

Sunday Adventure Ride - 8AM - 10/12/2025

Route:

We have a short 29 miles this week. We also have a flat 29 miles. There is one go-zone which will take you up Spring Creek at your own pace, and we will regroup in the parking lot at the day care center on Headquarters. Due to the lack of elevation on the ride -- the groups may all come in a little bit hot on Sunday. If you are uncomfortable with that -- make sure to ride with the last group to leave the parking lot.
